In addition to the strict entry controls several other measures are taken at the managerial level with the aim of minimizing potential impacts on nature: for example the waste disposal is done in a specific area, which is isolated from the cultivated area, so to prevent any vehicles from coming into contact with the waste and being contaminated.
The criteria for filling the landfill, the cultivation is done taking into account the mechanical and chemical characteristics of the waste: good stability of the mass of the waste has to be ensured in order to avoid excessive settlement that might damage the water-proofing and the landfill leachate extraction system. Furthermore in order to comply with contractual regulations some types of waste (such as those containing asbestos) need to be kept in areas specifically equipped.

The movement of waste into the landfill is conducted with machinery to move earth that are able to operate on all types of terrains even those that are not entirely compact, helped by cranes to move packaged waste.
The materials packed in big-bags are moved, while maintaining their packaging intact, with special slides dragged by excavators to the cultivation area where they are set down on muddy waste bed made by loose waste previously dumped on the site. During this operation, particular care is taken so to avoid eventual breaks, tears or damages to the packaging of the waste. Loose waste are dumped by overturning and stocked until the next movement and processing. They will, in fact, be used to cover the waste packed in big bags.
