With an optimal separate collection of rubbish, will a plant like Barricalla still be needed?
Managing waste in the correct manner brings a diversified approach composed by a reduction of waste, of recovery and recycling of what can still be used.
However even fully using this approach it is not possible to not produce any waste, because the recycling process also generates refuse, that at the end of its productive life does not have any residual value.
These is the waste that must be disposed of at the plant.

How do you guarantee that Barricalla does not pollute?

First and foremost thanks to the structural safety of the plant itself, in other words thanks to the way the water-proof tanks were planned.
Then there is the managerial security, that complex set of procedures and daily good practices followed by our highly trained staff. Finally thanks to the integrated monitoring system of soil, water and air, active both inside and outside the plant.

Who controls Barricalla and its activities?

The Torino Province through its constant controls carried out by local ARPA and ASL.

Even private citizens can consult the environmental monitoring data in the reserved area of the site (login area), after registering, and discover the construction process of the fourth lot using our webcam.

Othewise the easiest option is to come and visit and discover how it operates.
