Environmental Protection

Barricalla is not only the best processing plant for dangerous waste. It is also an active center for environmental protection.

Since 1995 it has adhered to the LIFE Project, which is the instrument the European Union uses to finance and support projects that aim to protect and preserve the environment.

Barricalla has joined this initiative with two different activities: the integrated monitoring system and the FALL project, done in collaboration with the Cà Foscari University of Venice.

Thanks to these activities Barricalla is able to provide detailed analytical and statistical data on air, water and soil quality and also records of the main meteorological events (wind direction and speed, rain quantity, etc.)

Finally Barricalla acts as a teaching laboratory in which is possible to organize visits and tours for environmental sensibilization.
