Barricalla is the firm that runs Italy's main industrial waste disposal facility . Working with the objective of achieving excellence in each phase of the industrial process, Barricalla has managed to become a “model plant” further improving the standards for the processing and the disposal of waste.
Barricalla, since its inception, always wanted to be seen as an example and a laboratory for environmental protection. For these purposes it has dedicated throughout the years considerable financial resources and technical skills, placing itself as the standard in structural and managerial safety always exceeding existing legal requirements.
Barricalla has really looked at the future: for this reason to this day it is still the best solution for the present.

The site where the Barricalla plant is located was once a gravel pit, which was later abandoned. The excavation work had degraded the area, threatening the ground water source, which was deprived of the natural cover of the ground above.

Barricalla is an advanced waste disposal facility, providing an immensely useful disposal service for the community, while, at the same time, protecting the local water sources and the health of the area's inhabitants.

The objective for Barricalla is the complete environmental requalification of the area. Once the dump has been exhausted, the area will be integrated with a park with big trees, sporting and leisure activity facilities and a photo-voltaic park for the production of renewable energy.

Safety is the basic principle upon which the planning and management of activities of Barricalla are set.

Barricalla has always been operating to protect the environment and is involved in the LIFE Project of the European Union with two types of activities.

Barricalla processes special and dangerous industrial waste through the use of advanced technologies and instruments and strict safety controls.
